Gatlinburg Festival of the Trees

Annual Tree Festival in Gatlinburg

This Thanksgiving Holiday, be sure to stop in and get your Christmas spirit primed at the 2011 Festival of Trees in downtown Gatlinburg.  Located in the Mills Conference Center, next to the Gatlinburg Convention Center, it’s an easy trolley ride to enjoy a wonderland of  beautifully decorated trees, twinkling lights, and holiday music.  There will also be craft projects for kids, Gingerbread House contest entries, and an opportunity to shop for locally made gifts and decorations.

This year, be sure to choose a wrapped box and get your photo taken next to your favorite tree… or have your picture taken with Santa!  Elf’s will be on hand to snap your picture and help you immediately send a personalized card to your family and friends back home.  You can also commemorate your visit by purchasing a Christmas tree ornament made by local artist Tim Weberding.

This is a free event that supports Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries.  Local businesses and individuals sponsor and decorate trees, enter the Gingerbread House contest, and donate decorations and gifts.  Entrance is free; donations of any size are greatly appreciated and much needed.

We hope you’ll plan to stop in the Festival of Trees and have a wonderful time while supporting a fantastic local organization.  Open daily Tuesday through Saturday, and even on Thanksgiving Day!
